NMC Weekly Update - July 2nd

NEWS FROM THE PRESIDENT'S OFFICE

Hafa adai, tirowami and greetings everyone!

Please read the following articles about our college:

NMC WELCOMES NEW EMPLOYEES

This week we would like to welcome Ms. Michele Olopai-Joab to the NMC Family. Michele is the new HR Manager for the Human Resources Department. Michele holds a bachelor's in Tourism and Hospitality and a Master's Degree in Human Resources from Hawaii Pacific University. Michele brings a variety of knowledge and experience in Human Resource management.

Next on the list of new hires is our Computer Lab Supervisor, Mr. Greg Quitugua. You may have seen him at Bldg. W when he was under our work-study program, and although he is not new to the NMC Campus, you may be surprised at his passion for helping people keep their computers trouble free. He calls it "play time."

Not only does he love to work with computers, he also loves to build them. Just a short reminder, that although he can't say no to your computing needs, please don't forget to use the help desk (by reporting through e-mail to helpdesk@nmcnet.edu) to request for IS assistance.

Congratulations Michele and Greg! We look forward to working with you both!

INSTEAD, WEAR RED
Each Friday, we wear red tops to celebrate and welcome our visitors to the CNMI. Our President is encouraging everyone to designate Fridays as our NMC Spirit Day (since red is our school color) and honor our visitors at the same time. Lets make Friday our NMC Spirit Day and celebrate Visitors Day by wearing a red NMC logo shirt or red top.

You can purchase these shirts or tops at our NMC Bookstore. Did you know that all employees receive a 10% discount on books and 15% for office supplies and NMC gear? The bookstore also offers great deals on selected items! For more information or further assistance, come by and visit our bookstore or call 234-5498, ext. 1300.
